About Me
Hi, I’m Nada Chebib, founder of On Kew Dog.
I know how worrying, exhausting and isolating it can feel when your dog’s behaviour becomes difficult to manage. Whether your dog is barking and lunging on walks, growling around food, struggling with visitors, showing fear or anxiety, or finding life with children or other pets challenging, it can affect every part of your day.

Understanding the whole dog.
You may feel frustrated, embarrassed, overwhelmed, or even scared about what might happen next. My role is to help you make sense of what is happening and give you a clear, compassionate way forward.
I work with you to understand the factors behind your dog’s behaviour, rather than simply trying to stop the outward symptoms. We look at your dog’s history, health, daily routine, environment, relationships and specific triggers. From there, I create a tailored behaviour plan that is realistic for your household, your dog and your everyday life.
My approach is kind, practical and evidence-based. I use science-based positive training and behaviour modification methods that aim to reduce stress, build confidence and make learning enjoyable for both you and your dog. I do not use fear, pain or punishment-based techniques.
Professional knowledge. Human understanding.
I am a Certified Training Partner with the Karen Pryor Academy Professional Dog Training Program and a registered Animal Training Instructor with the Animal Behaviour & Training Council (ABTC). I am fully insured as a dog training and behaviour professional, hold Canine First Aid Level 2 (VTQ), and continue to develop my knowledge through seminars, workshops, conferences and ongoing reading.
Before founding On Kew Dog, I spent more than 25 years as a senior HR professional, coaching leaders and teams. That experience has strongly shaped how I work with people: I listen carefully, avoid judgement, and help break complex or overwhelming situations into manageable next steps. Behaviour plans only work when they fit into real life, so I focus on achievable changes that support your dog while being practical for you.

The power of kindness and patience.
Rescue work is also very close to my heart. I am an active volunteer with Spaniel Aid, Spirit of the Dog Rescue and the Cinnamon Trust. Previously, I volunteered for several years with a Surrey-based rescue, supporting the training and socialisation of dogs with behaviour challenges while they waited for adoption.
Many of those dogs were large breeds with complex histories. I saw first-hand how much can change when a dog is given time, consistency, choice and kind, force-free support. Their personalities could shine through as they began to feel safer and more confident.
The family behind On Kew Dog.
At home, I share my life with my partner Gavin; Josie, our fun-loving Mastiff x Shepherd; Ginger, a very clever calico cat; and Jackson, our adventurous tabby cat.
I also carry the memory of Steffi, our beautiful red-and-white Mastiff x, who crossed the rainbow bridge in February 2025. She remains very much part of our family and the heart behind On Kew Dog.
